The magnolia, a beautiful flower indigenous to the southern regions of the United States, is now the name of an equally beautiful neighborhood, Magnolia Ridge. Located east of Harrisonburg in Rockingham County, Virginia, Magnolia Ridge offers breathtaking views of Massanutten Peak.

Magnolia Ridge is the top-selling community in the Harrisonburg area for the last several years. Gail Mitchell of Old Dominion Realty specializes in offering properties in Magnolia Ridge. Affordable lots are available in the housing development and property owners are not restricted to any one builder.

Gail Mitchell described the Magnolia Ridge subdivision as a beautiful planned neighborhood.

Just minutes from Harrisonburg, Old Dominion Realty agent Gail Mitchell said Magnolia Ridge provides a relaxing atmosphere with gorgeous views of Massanutten Peak.

Residents of Magnolia Ridge have access to numerous amenities. Magnolia Ridge is near shopping, cultural events, and the new Rockingham Memorial Hospital Campus (RMH Campus).

Magnolia Ridge residents enjoy a walking trail to Lake Shenandoah, a 36 acre area owned by the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries.

The neighborhood development is near Lakeview Golf Course, named one of Golf Digest's "Best Places to Play".  Lakeview Golf Course features four nine-hole courses, the Lake, Peak, Mountain and Spring, all with varying degrees of challenges.

Students in the Magnolia Ridge neighborhood attend Rockingham County Public Schools, with nearby Peak View Elementary and Cub Run Elementary. Five private schools, Victory Baptist Church Academy, Redeemer Classical School, Eastern Mennonite School, Conerstone Christian School and Blue Ridge Christian School are four to eight miles away from Magnolia Ridge. Magnolia Ridge is a short drive from Harrisonburg's James Madison University and Eastern Mennonite University.

Magnolia Ridge residents enjoy all of the amenities of Harrisonburg, Virginia. Located in the central Shenandoah Valley, Harrisonburg is situated along Interstate 81 with access to Richmond and Washington D.C. Harrisonburg is the county seat of Rockingham County, the home to Endless Caverns and George Washington National Forest.  Central is the Massanutten Peak, the southern tip of the Massanutten Mountains. Rising more than 1,500 feet, the peak is an outdoor lover's dream with hiking and spectacular views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.  An estimated 126,562 people call the greater Harrisonburg-area home.
